North Babylon NY (Suffolk) Working Fire 7/31/22

In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 31st, 2022, the North Babylon Fire Company operated on the scene of a working fire on Anawanda Road in the dead end off Maybrook Road. The fire was located at the rear of a two-story private dwelling with the main body of fire present on the second floor. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation off North Babylon Engine 1-8-8. Deer Park, West Islip, and Babylon were among the departments called for mutual aid. One firefighter was transported from the scene to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and the cause of the fire is under investigation. North Babylon Second Assistant Chief Peter Alt [1-8-32] had command of the incident.
