My son identifies with all members dealing with this heat wave. He was a USMC FF stationed in Fallujah and Al-Asad during the summer months. Temps of 120 were common. Later he took a contractors job at Al-Asad and endured 100+ temps. He was on an engine company that responded on all calls, one shift they did 25+ runs. Please take care of yourselfs, this heat will kill you :-\

I hope "YOUR SON" takes care of himself too. He certainly has my respect for what he does.

Also appreciate what your son is doing.  You must be proud.

To everyone who has read/posted on this site thanx for your response. My son is now home as a On Call FF near O'Hare. He understands fighting a job with temps over 100, glad everyone came home. Please remember those during supression jobs in Iraq/Afganistan. Again my son and myself (grumpy grizzly) thank you for your support.Stay low and protect yourself
