Crews battle fire at Norwich apartment complex
Crews responded to a working fire in Norwich on Thursday morning.

11:26 pm - A full assignment was dispatched from the Norwich Fire Department;
Battalion 1, Engine 2, Squad A, Engine 3, Truck 1 reporting a fire in the basement
In addition, the automatic aid mutual assignment included:
Taftville Vol Dept - Tower 25
Occum Vol Dept - Engine 42
On arrival of the first due engine company, Engine 2 reported smoke showing.
11:30 pm Battalion 1 reports a working fire in a 2 1/2 story occupied frame, requesting additional units
Laurel Hill Vol Dept - Engine 62
East Great Plains - Rescue 5
Also Mohegan Tribal FAST Co assigned on the Working Fire assignment
Progress report # 1 Battalion 1 reported:
Fire on the first floor - 2 lines stretched, 1 in operation
Primary search in progress with horizontal ventilation of the first floor
11:37 pm - Battalion 1 reports - Fire under control but keep additional units coming in with the flow of traffic
