Old B-422 Barrel Key

A picture might help as there were dozens of keys for different types of old class 3 boxes etc.

Sorry, It is a B422 Key. Supposedly Has the Maltese cross looks like a skeleton key, stamped FDNY on one side, reverse B422

Had nothing stamped on the other side, but this key was for opening alarm boxes to rewind and reset

That is correct and there were keys made up later that did not have any markings at all,the key I had was only stamped with FDNY on one side.The 1620 key I had was stamped with FDNY and 1620.

In a little over 24 hours we got the answer. Plus a picture and more facts about it.

Where else can you get that kind of FDNY info so quick ?  :)

1620 key also ran Fireman's Service in elevators and I think some mechanical boxes had 1620 keys instead of the skeleton key, not sure

The 1620  did in fact open certain mechanical Box outer doors.
