PORCH/TERRACE DANGER.

Some of these pictures are a good starter for drill & discussion.....most are aware of the danger of overloading a 100 year old fire escape (no more than 3 FFs on a landing) or a wooden porch roof but when looking at a cement terrace especially one such as this that is not cantilevered but is supported by brick columns one might have too much faith in it's stability....any outward signs of deterioration to the columns should be taken seriously also aside from overloading one always avoid banging the structure when placing an Aerial or Bucket in place......the same when placing them to the roof of a bldg w/a brick veneer faced wall.... www.firstonscenephotos.com/Long-Beach/083016-Shore-Road/
