Incident Location: 25 Marwood Road North
Just after 12:30 this afternoon the Port Washington Fire Department was alerted for a fire in the laundry room of a home on Marwood Road N in the village of Manorhaven. Chief of Department Matthew Kerin had arrived first due and confirmed a fire in the basement laundry room of a 2 story, 2 family dwelling and transmitted a signal 10 “working fire”. Engine 855 was the first due engine and stretched a handline to the basement fire was located in a dryer. The fire was quickly extinguished and the crew from ladder 8519 confirmed no extension after overhauling.
Fans were set up to remove smoke and high levels of carbon monoxide.
There were no injuries to any occupants of firefighters. (Text Credit: PWFD)
