Willy D asked me to post this picture of the ?Feeds? set up

Thanks Brad for posting that picture for me. I believe it has been posted somewhere on here a few years ago, but I wanted to resubmit it.

I took this picture a few years ago in Lt Bendick's garage. This is the set up that is required to provide all of us with those online radio feeds. As I understand it, each channel we listen to requires an individual radio. It also requires computers as well.

In addition to that, because of all the valuable equipment in that garage, Tommy has an alarm system installed with cameras.

I am told that sometimes he can make computer glitch repairs right from his cellphone. But of course that may not always be the case.

In addition to this, of course he provides us with this web site. Our topics include everything from the FDNYs latest equipment to the history of the FDNY. From music to television shows. From the FDNY fire companies and members now, to the FDNY fire companies and members then. From the fires and emergencies throughout NYC to across the world.

In my own case, it has been this site that has also allowed me to become good friends with guys who are all into the same thing as myself.

We ALL get a lot from this and Tommy ask "nothing" from us in return.

Of course he's a family man with two kids of his own, plus a Lt on the FDNY.

Whenever I ask him, he has NEVER let me down.

But sometimes it might be difficult for him to get right to us. So if that's the case, "I just ask you to understand".

Brad, you're the guy I depend on to let me know when the system is down. You monitor it much more than I do, so I guess in a way, you are a part of the team as well.

Our thanks also goes to Eugene Daly, aka "efd274".

During the time that the online All Boro feed was down, Eugene posted THREE JOBs.
Two jobs in Queens and a Second Alarm in Manhattan.

I believe he lives in NYC or the area where he can pick up the FDNY on his scanner.

So we appreciate you posting these. Of course you have posted jobs quite often here anyway. But in this case your efforts gave us a chance to continue with the size ups and rundowns during the time the online feed was down.

Speaking for the "out of towners,"  THANK YOU ALL for the feeds, rundowns and camaraderie!

The Boss, Tommy B., may NOT be able to take care of the All Boro Feed for awhile.

So if the local guys can help us outside foreigners outside of the NYC to read about what?s going on, ?we do appreciate it?.

The problem is NOT with this site.  It's with BROADCASTIFY. Their "all borough" feed is down.

The Boss here (Lt Bendick) is coming home today. He has been away with the family for awhile. So once he gets settled back in, maybe he could take a look at that ALL BORO FEED for us.
