I see where the city of New York is erecting an encampment for those who arrived in the city courtesy of other states. I am sure that the powers that be have considered police, fire, and ems service for this area. I guess E-35/TL-14/Bn12 will be first due. Just curious, if a homeless vet, who put his butt on the line for us, wanders by will he be welcomed and invited in. Not trying to make a political statement by any means.

Your question isn’t political in anyways. I’d imagine that vet will NOT be welcomed. Project veritas just popped one of the mayors people breaking down how all this is working. Not trying to make this political either, but this video is very applicable

Grump. Not a homeless vet issue. The issue that you do raise about emergency services, specifically fire and EMS response, is important and will be costly. Tent cities are often poorly planned, quickly erected, constructed by lowest bidders, and in need of significant services and assets. Tent encampments in DC parks that I saw were surrounded by EMS, police and city details.

You are right about it not being a homeless vet issue but it just upsets me that we get the charitable organizations and private citizens to get involved in what is going on and vets get swept under the rug. I just hope that this is managed properly.
