Normally wouldn't the rescue battalion driver stay with the battalion chief handling communications etc.?  In the picture he's carrying tools and has an air pack things I wouldn't expect him to have as the driver!

The Rescue BN FF has a different function at a Job than a regular line BN FF & does always carry tools.

The Rescue Operations insert is attached to A Rubber band attached to it so it fits around the helmet I've seen them for details , how can I build one or buy one ?

Cut a strip out of a tire tube for a lawn tractor or something with small tires.
But how do i make the insert connect to the rubber band , i've seen them they are like clips or buttons or something like that

Use a section of a regular tire tube discarded by a "flat fix" shop found around the City.....go to a hardware store & ask for  a small inexpensive package of "SWAT RIVETS"........make holes in the insert if not already there then very small holes in the innertube rubber.....the 2 sections of the rivet are then pushed together through the insert & rubber band & after placing on a firm surface hit the rivet a few times w/a hammer & it becomes 1.....just do not make the holes in the rubber band too big.....also consider backing up the backside w/a washer so it does not pull through the rubber.

Thank you

FDNYBuff97 your pic is a bit misleading i didn't look at the name on the posts and thought you were Catry

Catry's light bar & flashers are turned on . . . that's how I tell the difference. ;)

Never mind my name . . . 7 of my 8 grandparents were from County Sligo.
