Buildings under construction can be very difficult to fight fire in, poor water supply, incompleted standpipes, poor and often dangerous access to the fire floor/area, open air exposure (wind and unlimited supply of air, hazardous materials ( ex. Welding tanks, lumber yards holding up last poured concrete floor, poor ladder company access and the list goes on. Jerry Tracy used to give a great presentation on fighting fires in these buildings
