A couple of questions about SOC units- what exactly does the SOC compressor do? I can't seem to find any information on it other than the obvious (it has a compressor). Does it refill SCBA tanks, and if so how does it differ from the Mask Service Unit?

Are SOC Support Ladders trained to a higher level of Hazmat capability than CPC Ladders, or is it the other way around? How does the equipment carried in the second piece differ between these two unit types?

Thanks in advance for the answers!

The SOC compressor does not fill SCBA , it has a large CFM compressor ,I believe 200 cfm, not sure, I know all the new Rescues and their collapse rig have a 200 CFM compressor on board. Its used for all the Atlas/Copco air powered concrete breakers and drills along with a air knife for trench jobs . It also carries the 8" & 4" diameter extensions for the Con-Ed vac trucks used at trench jobs.

Soc Support LAdder is higher then CPC.

CPC is just gear up and drag people out.
SSL can go in and meter.
