Does anyone have any information about the tornadoes that struck Porter, Texas? From the news reports I have seen out here (Pacific Northwest) it appears the was damage in the Porter Heights area of Porter. I also saw New Caney's Station 154 was severely damaged.
Thanks, in advance, for any info

The Porter Heights tornado, an EF3, reportedly destroyed 30 buildings and damaged 300. One of eight tornados, it began in southern Waller County and had a 10-11 mile path. The others began in Alvin (Home of Nolan Ryan) and went across Galveston Bay into Liberty County.

The NWS gave everyone 24 hours warning. All the TV stations went DefCon 1 and broadcast all tornado radar tracks real time as well as supercell and tornado warnings from the NWS as fast as they could get them on the air. All the airports were on ground stops.

Some folks think that "Tornado Alley" is migrating south out of Kansas and Oklahoma into North Texas.
I'm not a fan of hurricanes, but at least I know what to expect. For tornados, I vote a hard NO!

All I got was an inch of rain- blind, dumb luck.
