Incident Location: 3 Garland Lane
On the night of Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, the Valley Stream Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Garland Lane in the dead end off Flower Road. Firefighters stretched and operated at least two hand lines for fire on the first and second floors of a vacant, two-story private dwelling that was under construction. The main body of the fire was quickly knocked down and the cause of the fire is under investigation. One firefighter was transported from the scene to an area hospital with a neck injury but was released not long after. All fire department units were under the command of Valley Stream First Assistant Chief Colucci [3401]. (Text Credit K2M)
