Incident Location: 105 Old Westbury Road
On Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, the Westbury Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a working fire on Old Westbury Road off Store Hill Road. Firefighters stretched two hand lines and put at least one hand line into operation for a fire in the attic of a large, two and a half story private dwelling. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and there were no reported injuries. It was believed that the fire came as the result of a lightning strike; however, the official cause is under investigation. Westbury Chief of Department Carr [9601] had command of the incident.
