This is going on in almost every area of the country served by volunteers. Nobody wants to volunteer anymore and the statutory and OSHA requirements take up much of the very little time volunteers have to donate. It’s not what it used to be. Society has changed and most people are What’s in it for me? So more and more paid personnel will begin to replace the volunteers and property taxes or fire district taxes will continue to soar.

The Department used to have 134 members and 9 Houses at its finest, now it only has 34 and is moving all its units to 25-3. Its sad that people don't want to volunteer anymore
