Wood County sheriff’s deputy killed in wreck

Deputy Melissa Pollard died in the wreck at the intersection of FM 14 and State Highway 37-S, according to a Wood County Sheriff’s Office release. Pollard was taken to a nearby hospital but did not survive her injuries.
