Question for Truck 4. I've seen a lot of your Yonkers posts. It appears they get 4 engines, 2 ladders, 1 rescue and 1 battalion chief on a reported structure fire. On a Working Fire (10-29) they send a FAST truck and the Squad. However, if the Squad is assigned on the first alarm as part of the 4 engines, when they go to a Working Fire (10-29), they only send a FAST truck and not an additional engine. The chief may special call that extra engine. So....

On a Working Fire:
With Squad not on initial dispatch, they end up with 4 engines, 2 ladders, 1 rescue, 1 squad and a FAST truck.

On a Working Fire:
With Squad on initial dispatch, they end up with 4 engines (1 being the squad), 2 ladders, 1 rescue, and a FAST truck.

I just thought for consistency sake they'd assign a 4th engine on the Working Fire if the squad has already been assigned. Thoughts? Thanks!

Typically on a 10-30 they send the FAST and Squad unless the BC or dispatch adds them sooner. Often the BC will add FAST due to calls while enroute. If Squad is on the initial, an extra engine is assigned with the FAST on the 10-30.

Nodine Hill. Area has many 3sty frame buildings that resemble "triple deckers" a la Boston.

Check out YFD E 306 @ 81 Oak St. First due.
