This is just an outstanding rundown of the activity by Catry.    Thank you Catry for your great work;  and as always,  it is clear and visually easy to read.

Scene was still active as of 18:00. Boat was still leaning to the side with an FDNY boat beside it and Coast Guard around the area. This is clearly visible as you drive over the Verrazano Bridge.

Did anyone get any information on the final resolve of this situation?    When did FDNY activity end?

The ship is still out there and I believe it was Marine 9 that I saw operating there about 15 minutes ago. Really couldn't get a great look since the fireboat was on the other side of the ship.
