Memory master - you are correct about E289 and TL138 - G'man theory at work!!

I see E72 with Sat 2 from the Bronx was S/C on the Second Alarm - does anyone know why this was done as opposed to having E291 pick up the Sattelite?

TL138 OOS for Company Medicals.  They are normally 2nd due.  E-316 got in first due and gave the 10-75.  Heavy fire throughout a 2-story commercial 150x75.  Original ticket was received as "fire from the roof of a multiple dwelling", anyone that knows that area knows there is no residential.  Heard that the inside team from L-129 was forced to bail-out when someone pre-maturely took a window directly above the area fully-involved on the 1st floor.  Luckily everyone made it out unharmed.

Halligan Hook,

Assuming you weren't at the job, and probably not on the job either.  But you heard wrong.  I was the 1st due engine officer.  The window was not taken "pre-maturely," it was taken after consulting with the truck boss and with the nozzle in position, ready to operate.  There were no indications when we pulled up that the fire was on the 1st floor; bystanders said it was on the second floor and the 2nd floor office area was banked down.  There was no smoke at ground level; just a lot of smoke coming from the roof.  The truck boss found an area where he thought the fire to be, which we assumed was a window to another office on the 2nd floor.  We could not find a door leading to that area.  And L129's inside team was not "forced to bail;" companies were ordered out of the building by Command because of heavy fire conditions and a steel bar joist/Q-deck roof.  Their withdraw was covered by E316's line.  If you weren't there and you don't know what happened, don't just post crap on here to impress yourself.

It is very sad that you do not even know what really happened at this fire and you were there.

And in response to your final post on the FDNY Rant before it was locked...I am sure that E-273 would LOVE you to tell them that you were there for 25-30 seconds before they got there.  You and I both know that is an outright LIE, especially since you went over to 273's Officer after the fire and apologized to him because you and the ECC "did not see you guys coming, but the guys on the back-step said you were right there".  You japped them out and they were right there when you made the turn onto 34th Avenue.  And it does not matter what the NYFIRS report shows, people besides you were there and they are telling a MUCH different story than you.

As I said before, I don't know where the hell you get your info.  I didn't apologize to anyone, because there was nothing for which to apologize.  We made the intersection, E273 was nowhere in sight, people were waving us into the block, and the building was on fire.  Nobody is going to sit around waiting to see who shows up next.  Times from the MDT don't lie; maybe you do.
You have any other questions I can answer for you, stop by the firehouse.  Otherwise, if you weren't at the job and you don't know what happened, then STFU.
