Just before 8AM, Stonington Borough FD was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 17 Diving Street. First arriving units reported heavy smoke from a 2 story wood frame house. A working fire was declared bringing mutual aid from Wequetequock and Pawcatuck FDs. Handlines were stretched into the house and fire was knocked down. A first alarm was transmitted bring a FAST team from Old Mystic FD and Stonington Ambulance. Ceilings were pulled and a small portion of the roof opened up for investigation.
