I know exactly where it is. Been there many times, got thrown off by the post on the Bronx page"Near the Triboro Bridge in New York City, where the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx meet"

Hence the 2000 series. In 1900, all street boxes north and east of the Harlem River (Borough of The Bronx) were transmitted with Preliminary Signal 2
Interesting previous discussion about response assignments to the islands. In 1900 there were four special building boxes (preliminary signal 3) on Randall's Island used by the fire alarm office on East 67th Street.
331- Child's Hospital
332- East side of Island
333- Boy's House Refuge
334- Randall's Island
All four boxes had the same running assignment: Engine 16, Engine 51, H&L 14, and the Chief of the 12th Battalion
In 1900, the highest numbered box in The Bronx was 2-991...Vernon Parkway and Bronx Place: Engine 63, Engine 62. H&L 62, and Chief of the 15th.I believe now all Boxes on the Island are 8000 Boxes with the exception of The Randalls Island TBTA Complex Buildings which is 1590
