@0951: 10-75-1063 by Batt. 38 for a fire in the rear of the first floor at 786 St. Johns Place, near Nostand Avenue.

Engines 280, 234  Ladders 132, 123   Batt. 38

Engine 249(3rd due), Engine 235 (4th due), Ladder 113 (fast truck), Squad 252, Rescue 2, Batt. 57, Div. 15

@0956: 75-1063: Batt. 38 reports using all hands, two lines stretched with one in operation, building is a 4 brick 20 x 60 OMD, fire is doubtful.  RAC 2 assigned.

@0959: Div. 15: Deputy Chief Butler reports all visible fire knocked down, probably will hold, searches are in progress.  Fire duration is 13 minutes.

@1002: Engine 332 acting Engine 234 is 10-8.

@1008: Rescue 2 is 10-8 from 1063.

@1011: Div. 15: DC Butler reports fire is under control, waiting for completion of secondary searches, transmit 10-41 code 1.  Fire duration is 24 minutes.

does anyone know why 219 and 105 wouldnt be assigned to this box ? there quarters only 11 blocks away ?

  Nope, E249/L113 are closer and even E235 is closer than E219/TL105 ;)

johnd248 Thanks for keeping up on the Brooklyn fires. My Son lives in Brooklyn (I live in Washington State) and his local house is E280/l132. I was a reserve FF for 30+ years and have enjoyed this site for a couple of years now (my first post). Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Firehound.  I lived in Brooklyn for 30 years and have been in Connecticut ever since.
