@1338:75-889: Batt. 37 reports using all hands for a heavy smoke condition in a building at 307 Malcolm X Blvd, near Bainbridge Street, Bedford Stuyvesant Section of Brooklyn.

Engines 222, 214, 233   Ladders 176, 123   Batt. 37  Rescue 2 normally assigned on the box.

Note: Ladder 111 was out at the time of the box.

Engine 234 (4th due), Ladder 111 (fast truck), Squad 252, Batt. 38, Div. 15

@1341: Batt. 37: located the fire in a hardware store on the first floor of a 4 story brick, one line stretched and in operation, request extra engine and truck.  Engine 218 and Ladder 120 s/c.

@1353: Div. 15: Deputy Chief Dunleavy reports three lines stretched, one line in operation, fire knocked down, trucks opening up, fire is still  doubtful.  Fire duration is 37 minutes.

Engine 236 relocated to Engine 233.

@1401: Engine 226 acting Engine 214 is 10-8.

@1404: Div. 15: DC Dunleavy reports primary searches complete and negative, fire is probably will hold.  Fire duration is 47 minutes.

@1417: Div. 15 places this fire under control.
