I have to boast because that is my home and I was one of three on the the design team that designed the engine first in 1992 then the Ladder in 2000. The both have water, dry chem and foam capabilities. You are correct Grump, the ladder is actually the platform from E-one without the platform. The nozzle on the tip is a specially built Williams Fire control dual agent nozzle that can flow 3500 gpm. They really wern't sure they could hang it off the tip but worked out the engineering. All three master streams on the Truck and the one on the engine can flow dry chem, water and foam simultaneously.
When I went on the FD in May 1977 we had one engine and the two red pickups you saw in the pictures were hose wagons. The now are in the process of building a new pumper that will price out over 1 million. As a side note the current Chief grew up across the street from me and I took him in his first fire. Let me know if you have any more questions.
