From the Box 52 FB page. A third alarm was transmitted for a fire @ St Elizabeth's hospital in Brighton, a/k/a Boston Medical Center/Brighton. Fire was in the electrical room requiring the evacuation of 24+ patients.

At approximately 1:30 this morning firefighters responded to a fire at Boston Medical Center Brighton. The fire was located in an electrical room. A 2nd alarm was ordered. Once firefighters extinguished the fire in the electrical room, they used multiple fans to disperse the heavy smoke condition in the building. Firefighters vented it through pressurized stairwell to a roof skylight. Once firefighters cleared the smoke from the hospital, they coordinated with BOSTON EMS and the hospital staff to help evacuate multiple patients. Firefighters had to carry patients down the stairs in a basket, to the waiting ambulance’s to be transported.
