1247 hrs - BFD responded to reported woman in the water at Sumner St Bridge. On arrival, PD officer was holding her head above chilly water approx 50 ft from shore. 3 BFD members entered water to rescue BPD officer and woman. 2 members of Rescue 1 in survival suits moved woman to ladder. State Police boat arrived to participate in rescue. Operation took place during weather advisory and in 48 degree water. Great teamwork.
