Hempstead NY (Nassau) Working Fire 10/25/22

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 25th, 2022, the Hempstead Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a building fire at 599 Front Street – the Hofstra Garden Apartments. Hempstead Ladder 2 arrived and transmitted the working fire for an apartment fire on the first floor of a three-story multiple dwelling. One hand line was put into operation off Hempstead Engine 3 and the main body of fire was quickly knocked down. There was no extension to the floors above and all occupants made it safely out of the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
