Straight shot down the freeways for Ladder 68 (in the reserve) and Rescue 10 coming down the Sam Houston Tollway.

Air temperature at the time was 103*, heat index 115*....concrete roadway temperature probably 130-140*

I don't distract from the good intentions of the workers that tried to help, in this incident., but unless your trained to properly remove Trama victims from car wrecks, you may make the situation worse. If anyone of the women in the car had spinal injuries, and they were not properly "packaged" for safe removal they could have crippled them for life, and/or furthered their injuries. Unless there is fire. drowning danger, or other problem requiring immediate removal, treat what you can but don't remove without proper evaluation of other possible injuries. In this case the "mechanism of injury" indicates many strong possibilities of serious injuries, which you don't want to make worse, by mishandling.
