Incident Location: 999 West Shore Road
At approximately 7:53 p.m. on Thursday, April 18th, 2024, the Roslyn Fire Companies were dispatched to an unknown type fire at the intersection of West Shore Rd. and Harbor Park Dr. South. 5600 was the first unit to respond and was advised by FireCom that they received two calls reporting garbage cans on fire near the Viaduct Bridge. 5602 arrived on scene and reported that he had heavy smoke showing from the Garbage Facility. Based on this report, 5600 requested FireCom to start out the working fire procedure. 5602 then reported to 5600 that it is very well involved, and he rammed the entrance with his car, 5600 transmitted the Signal 10. HazMat Was Requested. Multiple tower ladders and landlines were put into operation. All mutual aid units and roslyn units operated for an extended period of time.
