Funny thing is fdny fire units aren't even responding as emt's only as CFR and yet they get so many runs for ems

And meanwhile so many guys that are in the engine companies used to be EMT's. I believe the job has talked about finding a way for guys from EMS to keep their EMT card so they can provide a higher level of patient care if needed.
