Dramatic Grab Early 70's Bronx

This photo was taken by then dispatcher Ken Fisher (BxCO) in the 70's. Fireman Carmine Croce of Rescue 3 performing mouth to mouth on a teenager in either TL31 or TL44's bucket as it is being lowered to the street during a grab. ^^^ CARMINE "BUDDY CROCE" was a FF in LAD*31 & R*3 then back to LAD*31 where as the Chauf. the side siamese intake on the TL blew off hititng buddy in the knee putting him out of The Job....after that on those rigs there was a steel strap installed in the yoke of the siamese to restrain it if it blew off.....Buddy was a really cool guy & great FF Appt 1970..... before his time in R*3 there were two Croce brothers there ....one was his Uncle & the other his Dad Appt 1947 ...... when i went to Chauf. School March '72 Buddy was in the Class with me.

Buddy on the left on the You Tube in Jill Friedman's book "FIREHOUSE" .... at 1:32 to 1:37 & again at 2:24. marks .... also at the 1:23 mark is Tom Kennedy also a FF in LAD*31 then R*3 then back to LAD*31 also ....Tom Kennedy was also a LT in LAD*26...CPT of LAD*56...BC BN*16 & RET as a DC in DV*6. & a past President of the Chiefs Association & did much Lecturing on Training in Fire Ops.
