A Jackson Miss aerial tower was destroyed when a grass fire that was sparked from an apartment building fire, turned and surrounded the truck. The crew escaped but we're unable to save the rig.

Sadly, Jackson Mississippi is not loaded with money so this may be a tough replacement.

Dont know how much the rig was insured for either which may or may not help. But the keyboard warriors on fb already condemned the dept for bringing a aerial tower to a grass fire.

Pretty sure I didn't make too many new friends when I pointed out if you read the article..... and a lot of major west coast depts and FDNY routinely send aerial devices to brush fires.
