Television from a different time

Here is a presentation performed by Stiletto & the Saxman of television theme songs that maybe some of you remember.

There was a NYC late afternoon, television show, in the 1950's, starring Ray Heatherton called the "3 Stooges Firehouse". The Intro. to the show had great filmed scenes of FDNY units responding in the 1950's. Ray Heatherton's daughter was "Joey Heatherton" a beautiful 1950/60's movie star and sex symbol. I actually saw her years later. in the late1960's at Kennedy Airport and she was indeed beautiful.

I'm trying to remember but I think that was "Fireman Todd" on WPIX 11 with the fire Stooges and then it was "Officer Joe Bolton" after him. Maybe, maybe not. That was a while ago lol (Ray Heatherton was on WPIX but can't recall in what capacity.

Crazy Guggingham... Brooklyn born Gleason probably playing on Jewish and Irish neighborhood names.

Back in the 60's, Saturdays on ch 9 was the wrestling shows and almost daily on ch11 was the 3 Stooges. Slapstick at it's best.

I was a youngster when I watched this on black and white television sitting on the floor in our living room with my mother, my father and my grandmother

How many of you watched it too.

I remember both of these films. Boy the "Stars" back then were stars in every sense of the word. A friend of mine from the FDNY and his wife went to Tahiti and told me they met Mrs. & Mrs. Hope while there and said they could not have been nicer. Ask any of our servicemen & women about who saw, either Bob Hope or Jimmy Cagney and you will know how great they both were. They both entertained the troops time and time again.
