The 9th looks like they have a big area and is one of the busiest Battalions Maybe @dan can shed some light on the 9th area

They have had 1st due boxes as South as Penn Station and North as West 72 St. Far East as 5th Ave

Let me explain it another way-

If you are from out of town and want to stay in a nice hotel in a nice neighborhood, you go to the Eighth Battalion.

If, on the other hand, in the old days, you were a sailor off a newly docked boat from Timbuktu, sober enough to not get hit by a locomotive along 12th Avenue, and looking for an SRO and a good time, you headed for the Nineth Battalion.

9th Battalion is the busiest battalion in the whole city covers as far south 1st due boxes as 12th and 35th, and north as far as 73rd and CPW. West I believe is still 6th Avenue. They do almost 5k runs a year no other battalion comes close to that. Even BC8 is just at 4k,

No doubt the 9th is the busiest, but take the 22 for example. Half the # of runs, same amount of jobs in 2025
