    FDNY EMS Units - 3/17/2025

Correction, the XR units still respond to Segment 1 assignments, i.e. arrests, chokes, etc.

    FDNY EMS Units - 3/17/2025

They responded with rescue or when special called, at fires they're only to treat critical patients and firefighters. There is no talk of having them ride on the rigs, but XR1 and XR3 have been going inside the houses.

    FDNY EMS Units - 3/17/2025

My understanding is the only rescue medic not attached to a rescue company is X10, which is due to it being part of the original PRU program. ALS RESCUE Manhattan: XR1 X10 Bronx: XR3 Brooklyn: XR2 Queens: XR4 Richmond: XR5

FDNY EMS to raise transport fees

The proposed hikes would put their billing in line with the current prices of the voluntaries.

    Washingron DC new rigs questions.

In related DCFD news, I just read that they are intending to return to the Stars and Bars paint scheme for the entire fleet. Perhaps this move is partially inspired by Baltimore City's return to Omaha Orange. At any rate it's great to see departments respecting their history and not just using a...

Hydroxocobalamin and sodium thiosulfate have been carried by all FDNY ALS and Condition Cars since before 2016, maybe @Elmerj or @memorymaster could pinpoint the date better.

The JCFD's inability to maintain a consistent paint scheme since the white over red with broad white stripe era drives me crazy

    Boston 2025 runs

Interestingly BFD E*14's 4,225 runs would place #75 in FDNY for runs, similar to E*39 with 4,204. But, BFD L*4 and it's 5,370 runs would be a healthy #1 compared to L*43's 4,999 runs. What a difference no CFR runs makes.
