Doesn't R3 usually respond as the rescue for calls in Manhattan above 125th or we're they on another box?

What is the point of having run assignment cards, if you cannot even get a piece of your extra Engine/Truck boxes? I get it, this job took some investigating before they knew what they had, but as we all know they almost never send relocaters to another house before some type of signal has been given e.g. 10-75, 10-99 CPR in progress, etc. I know the proponents of this newly adopted policy will argue that getting units in as fast as possible is beneficial to overall outcome so send the closest unit in first, but what ends up in reality is aggressive companies looking to go to the job sometimes just tell the dispatcher they are closer than they actually are. In turn, they end up getting in later than the normally assigned companies--Not 100% of the time, but one could guess this happens more often than not. And no disrespect to the queens companies (TL-138 goes to a lot of fires...#1 in the city according to early buff numbers), but I am not sure how much experience they have fighting fires in brownstones or Manhattan in general.

I am curious to hear some thoughts, hope you guys don't take this the wrong way. I am not trying to make waves, just would like to see the dispatchers stick to the run card for at least the first and second alarm assignments. At the end of the day, those are the companies that are generally nearby and are at least somewhat familiar with the neighborhood and/or tactics.
