Report that of the First 4 normally assigned Engine companies on that box…. 3 were on EMS runs, one was at The Rock….
Great Job by the FFS and the EMS crew.Looks like everyone on scene FD and EMS brought their A game today in saving the members life.

That Denver configuration does not compute, you're still loosing two members from the engine, now you have an ineffective engine... The big red machine requires at least 4 members to be an effective firefighting "unit". Perhaps the city should reevaluate and hire more ems people during the day tours, say like a Tactical Control Unit!Yeah cause if you’re not operating over 30mins then no relocator. What needs to happen maybe for sure if a 3rd due engine can’t be sent or a further engine.
Other Departments like Denver has 2 person crews doing low priority EMS calls so engines are not going to them and more available. Bronx is probably the must impacted Boro with EMS calls (every company is doing over 5,000 runs besides 3 engines.

It is programmed to do just that....but 89/94 was on an Arrest which gets a response no matter and 96 and 64 were on other EMS runs that came in a few minutes before fire....The CFR threshold is determined by Battalion Groupings....ie 2/5 or 3/6 engines avail for EMS......The Engines on EMS runs were in BC03 and BC20 so while they are adjacent the CAD sees it as separate battalions.....Nobody was 10-99 to generate a relocation.....Maybe time for the programming wizards to work their magic in the CAD algorithms and software so that no area has such a drawdown on Engines for CFR runs in a given area.
Good info but could you please translate for us dummies? It is programmed to do just that....but 89/94 was on an Arrest which gets a response no matter and 96 and 64 were on other EMS runs that came in a few minutes before fire....The CFR threshold is determined by Battalion Groupings....ie 2/5 or 3/6 engines avail for EMS......The Engines on EMS runs were in BC03 and BC20 so while they are adjacent the CAD sees it as separate battalions.....Nobody was 10-99 to generate a relocation.....
It is busy....the local units are not always available and units have to come from further.....we could have 50 more fire units and 100 more ambulances and it still would be busy and at times we do not have enoughGood info but could you please translate for us dummies?
Interestingly enough, up until recently the Bronx a unit similar to a Tactical Control Unit. It was the Bronx Tactical Response Group and turned out of Station 18 on Washington Avenue next door to Rescue 3.That Denver configuration does not compute, you're still loosing two members from the engine, now you have an ineffective engine... Thanks Dan for the further insight and additional info. Good eye. I will fix that. ThanksThe chart is missing E 38
Basically Murphys law was definitely in affect when this call came in.Good info but could you please translate for us dummies?
Normal Assignment - 96, 64, 94, 90, 45, etc...So is E90 normally 4th due at this box, or 5th due?
