Did FDNY get rid of the purpose of SSL Rigs for certian ladder trucks?

I saw Ladder 79 SSL rig on staten island staying at rescue 5 and responding with rescue 5.

Yes, they removed some companies from the SSL program.

Who are the current SOC Support Tru cks? Is there any plan to reduce or increase their numbers and roles?

From 25 to 15…. They all still have the SSL rigs just only 15 are considered SOC Support the other 10 are Decon only.

TSU 2 is using SSL 79 as a spare as there is no spare TAC. They are mainly carrying the Stanley unit and a couple other things everything else is on collapse rescue 5
