Boy have things changed in my old home area. Note the bars on the windows these building are often attached or semi-attached so a fire in one becomes a fire in the other/s. The driveways are just big enough to navigate with modern cars, unless it is a small car. fire in-between houses in a car often results in a multiple alarm. A Tower Ladder or at least a deck gun aimed in the driveway is often the best option to prevent fire in both buildings. I had a fire years ago as a covering Captain in Engine 250 that involved multiple private dwelling in Midwood, Brooklyn. That started in the driveway. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired
