Curious why you think that? Because Hazmat is definitely included in this order. They are always made together… so that leaves 3 trucks… and what’s the oldest 3 trucks that are rescue types? Would be the (3) 2005 Mack Collapses which have been trying to get replaced before COVID.
That’s on 77 and 81st traverse would still be open so wouldn’t cause much of an issue, the day of the parade 44 would have went to 86th street traverse. E74 L25 would be responding on Broadway. E76 TL22 straight shot to CPW
I keep getting messages from people regarding FDNY….. so here is what I am told… the FDNY can go encrypted within a few minutes. They have the ability too. There is still a decent amount of radios that have to be changed tho. Very possible it will happen but not necessarily that you won’t hear...
Every ladder is different, there is a certain amount of equipment that has to be kept on all ladders. Then you go down to what special functions they may have. Such as Water Rescue, KO Curtain, SOC Support, Etc
There was talks that the new High Rise Units would have pumps but that was a past staff Chief that was looking into that. They are due for replacement awaiting to see
