Didn’t NYCdo something similar in the past ? I remember it being called something like DRB. Only in effect during specific hours and specific boxes. I don’t know how long it lasted or if it still exists in some form. Haven’t heard the term DRB on the radio in quite awhile.

Now for some crazy reason I have to find out why. Is it because that’s the way it’s always been ?, Does it signify anything specific other than it being a COD uniform ?, I figure if anyone knows anything it’s someone on this site so I’ll just wait and see what else turns up.
One hint, has nothing to do with the cuff striping. It’s on the main part of the jacket and is different than any other officer in the job. The COD uniform in fact is the only one to have it.
