Maybe just a plain old job. Was wondering about the connEd gas reference in initial post. Maybe a class 3 alarm set up that reports gas detected and alarm company starts calling everyone and they called FD?

Never know. Transmit 10-75 and all hands for gas lines quite often now per regs. And lines (usually 1) are stretched and charged as Con Ed works as protection for them. I assumed fire but the gas company reporting has explosive ranges? No idea.
