Seems like only if there's a chance they'll be sent to the job.

6/28/23 Manhattan All Hands Box 1689

It looks like there was room to hook up alongside the car rather than through the windows. It may have been done later, but I didn't notice any summons issued.

    ANOTHER WAR YEARS VET PASSES.

FF George S. Cunningham was appointed on 10/6/62. He was assigned to Engine 26. At some point he apparently moved to Engine 252 and from there became a charter member of Engine 332. Some time after that he transferred to Engine 319 and retired from there on 7/2/91. He served in the U.S. Navy...

Perhaps certain census tracts lost 97% of their buildings, but certainly not the entire Bronx.

    FDNY Chief Trucks

Does anyone know if Battalion 39 was similarly parked when the 39 was with Engine 236, or were they piggybacked? The houses are virtually identical.

    FDNY Chief Trucks

Battalion 57 might have to finally park in front of Engine 235. The 57's rig is always a little beat up tucked in where it was parked the last time I saw it (a long time ago).

As far as Car 9, there were no Borough Commands in 2001. As a result of the WTC attacks, the Borough Commands were re-established in 2002.

    FDNY DIVE TEAMS.

I remember two NYPD officers were killed in a helicopter crash in the East River in late 1967. The NYPD divers at the time were not 24/7 and were pretty much used as stated above for body or weapon recovery - much more efficient than men in a rowboat with grappling hooks. One of the deceased...

    New Rearmount order

Perhaps the Job will get "156 Ladder 156" on their quarters in time for 156's Centennial in more than 3 and 1/2 years. They might also try to match the font of 276's identity, something not done for Ladder 149 when their numbers were finally put up, and all they had to add there were the numbers.
