Maybe it's just me, but I think a mural of members carrying a covered body out of the site is a bit much. I feel this could really put salt in the wounds of people who lost family members.
I grew up in Glendale but spent a good part of my time hanging around Juniper on my bicycle. Always felt that area and park where one of the safer places in the 80's. Can't believe this took place in that area.
What was in L105's quarters after they moved out? I think I remember there being a decon unit or some type of unit that cleaned gear shortly before the Barclay Center was built there. Was there ever any other units in these quarters after 105?
Just looking at these pics makes me remember how much the rigs changed in size from the Mack/Saulsbury in 1991 to the 1996 HME/Saulsbury. Getting the 96 into Bergen St must have been a challenge compared to the 91.
I know back in the day there were ERS boxes and pull boxes. Was there something called a DRB box? My memory is a bit foggy now, but I thought as a kid in the early 80's I remember them announcing DRB box xxxx and then announcing the location.
Definitely wasn't calling you on it. Thought maybe it was a strange arrangement like some of the administrative districts or like B60 didn't have any admin companies.
