    Old FDNY Apparatus Restored/Saved Parts

MT-8410, A Hundred and Twenty Truck. This rig served on Watkins Street from Feb. 1985 to Mar. 1997. Just happened to find it Devino's Metal Salvage Yard in Newark, NJ in May 1998. A couple of us went back a week later to give her a proper send off with some Budweisers. Ironically she had just...

    New Rearmount order

Never liked these Gold Stripes from the first rig they put them on. Rigs would look better with Department Patch, Company Number and Patch, and plain white stripe. Just my opinion. I liked the Old-School look from 1980's and 1990's better.

    New Seagrave Contracts

It's DSNY. DSNY Rear Load Collection trucks use the Mack LE chassis. The Salt Spreaders use the Terra-Pro Chassis, that used to be the MR.

    Ladder 343

Tem217 and Johnny Gage, Having shared the honor that both of you talked about in your posts, I agree with you. Something that I find odd, is the choice of this particular rig. It was one of the Lemons that were taken out of service after only a few years. I remember watching news reports...

    Closing companies/Moving companies

Stop with the Buff Stuff. 283 Engines' area has more than enough trucks close by. 120,123,170, and 174. And now you have Res2cue right up the hill. The number of fires are not even half of what they were in the 1960's thru the early 1980's. They are all busy companies, but if that area was busy...

One and the same Lucky. And his aide, Tom Mennella, I believe was his chauffer in 277. Old School and a Gentleman. Always nice to hear him on the handi-talkie with his response," Ya got the 44".

12/20/2020 Brooklyn All Hands Box 1992

1992 is a Fulton St. box. 231 and 120 are second due. Straight shot out of the ENY Ave. cut. 233 and 176 second due on Jamaica. They got a straight shot down Broadway. Lotta of work at 1992 box over the years! First day with my new video camera caught an All-Hands, extra E and T at 1992 box...

    Ferrara ladders

Maybe L156 would be the first of the 2011 to be replaced according to shop number. L137 I believe was lost due to Hurricane Sandy and replaced. That 2011 rig was the first of that order. Kind of follows the replacements back when the order of 1986 Seagrave Rearmounts were delivered. L137 got...

    11/19/20 Brooklyn 10-75 Box 1666

Actually Chief, the box I was thinking of was 1669, Dumont Ave. 500 feet East of Rockaway Ave. Funny how all 1660 boxes are east of Rockaway Ave. between Belmont and Riverdale with the exception of 1666. Buffalo and Atlantic is quite a distance from there. Wonder how that happened?

    11/19/20 Brooklyn 10-75 Box 1666

Check that box number. 1666 should be a project box east of Rockaway either on Sutter or Blake Ave.

FDNY RIG Colors why does FDNY Not do the color scheme like this?

Last all Red cab Mack TL, MT-8410, L120. MT-8411 was White over Red and was assigned to L33. The final 2 rigs in that order, MT-8412 and MT-8413 went to I believe L138 and L17.
