There are a lot of frontline rigs that are over 10 1/2 years old. Which contractually takes them out of relocations. Could be why there are so many goofy relocates lately
Technically, yes. However, the point of the Biopod is to drill on getting every company doses of Iodine, or something similar, in the case of some sort of nuclear or radiological disaster.
My old company was a 95’. We never had a 95’ spare. They didn’t even have a 95’ rig when I went to Chauffer school. After driving the 95’ for a while though the 75’ was a breeze.
They are actually into the 500’s currently. Looks like that’s where it will end. Typically the range is 800 for LTs and 400 Capts. Obviously with pandemic the lists were extended. Unknown what the future will hold.
