    New Rescues in Production

Most manufacturers will quote at least a 365 day build time (time of order to delivery). Some are closer to 14 months. Pierce for example has 3 different build lanes based on the type of rig (8 month/10 month/12 month). I know KME was over 400 days last I heard. Not sure about Ferrara. Ferrara...

    FDMV using FDNY ladder

FDMV had a failure of L-2's aerial at a fire recently so its OOS. They also ordered a Pierce Ascendant TL demo unit. Not sure if that is to replace the Aerialscope or as a 2nd frontline TL. That will be FDMV's 4th new Pierce this year (they already took delivery of 2 engines and a rescue).

According to Seagrave, the 75' and 95' Aerialscope's have the same turning radius. Does anyone know what the difference in the overall length is?

    New Rescues in Production

I meant as in the manufacturer builds both the cab and body ( and aerial for the ladders). If KME builds the cab and Ferrara builds the body its technically not a single source rig even though they're both under the REV umbrella.

    New Rescues in Production

Interesting. I thought the FDNY required a single source manufacturer to build their rigs.

    New Rescues in Production

I wonder if that spells the end of Ferrara building for the FDNY. The Ultra chassis was Ferrara’s only stainless steel cab. Unless they begin to offer one of their cabs with a stainless option I don’t think they’ll meet the city’s specs.

    FDNY Unit Location Map

Does anyone know of an online link to the FDNY's Unit Location Map? The map I'm looking for is the one posted in various FDNY houses and facilities. It includes all of the individual houses as well as being color coded by Division and Battalion. It also lists the locations of specialized units.
