The post didnt have any details on what exactly happend. Not sure of they were at a call, returning etc when the ground opened up under them. But yeah, gravity doesn't take time off.

Ive seen videos before of chafeurs doing similar things on fores. Not sure how many 5 gallon pails or conatiners of foam FDNY engs carry but what they may have done was take the remaing foam from a used bucket or 2 and dump it into a fresh bucket to use it up. According to fdnytrucks.com website, there is a 85 Mack Baker 95 numbered as TL 12 on E3/Tl 12s page so a guess would be pretty 1985.

I think that what may play into FDNYs decisions on units, is the physical size of a given unit. Some tl companies that are in 75s for example can't go to 95s because the physical size won't fit in the bay or blocks the engine with it, (302/155) or can't make the turns coming out of qtrs...

Basically from what I used to understand, and this possibly has changed, was if any 2 or more houses with a shared border were unavailable for 30 minutes or more, at least 1 of the houses had to get a relocator. Theres a lot that goes into who goes where and which house maybe a must fill, etc...
