Most runs are done on the MDT's.  They will give out the box over the air if more then one unit is assigned, however you won't hear which units.  You would have to know the boxes to have an idea of who is going.

They have been getting a ton of CO runs, as far as EMS goes they did 1,640 in 2007 which is on the high side.

When the temp falls below XXF for XX amount of time, they staff it. Two FF's from the house will run it for the tour and go around to known hydrants and respond to jobs as needed.

Capt. I  have worked there a few times.  There is a Mezz overlooking the Apparatus Floor. The do have the 2nd floor. I don't remember about the 3rd floor.  The other floors are no longer FD.  PD must use them all. There is also a large parking garage area under the firehouse that PD uses...
