5/15/22 Brooklyn Police Involved Shooting---3508 Neptune Ave. "Shots Fired." Cop Bit by Dog. Suspect on the Loose 6:09pm.

Some of them can't shoot straight anyway. I found that out at the range seeing it myself and I'm no Carlos Hathcock btw.

    Everything Old Is New Again

Years ago in downtown Brooklyn by Old Fulton St in Dumbo there was a garage where I believe they repaired patrol cars. I worked there a few times and once I remember they had an early '70s Fury in the original colors in the repair garage. I also saw it parked outside once or twice. I'm sure it...

Jimmy Doolittle and his Tokyo Raiders

True American Heroes Rest In Peace and thank you. Also highlights what was Japanese mistreatment of US airmen. This continued to a greater extent when B-29 crewmen were captured.

    E206 area

I understand keeping the doors closed. My original work location was right next to the Gowanus canal. More of the same you could smell it blocks away when the wind was right.

April 3, 1978? a 5th alarm in the Bronx (FD Box BX 55-2108).

That fire looked unreal. Respect to the FDNY for keeping that to 5 alarms.

    Water Tender(s)

The volunteer company in my town here has a tanker (36). Its obviously newer although its a 1982 FMC 2500 gal and has a pump. I think the issue here is water supply more than brush fires.

    3/14/22 Brooklyn 5th Alarm Box 553

After Fire Patrol #3 was disbanded I had to go through the building to get to the back for terminal access. I believe a real estate agent let me in and pretty much left me alone. I took the opportunity to walk around and check the inside. It was a nice building alot of wood and original...

    World Trade Center 1993

To those who were lost Rest In Peace. My wife worked in the south tower but was having lunch with friends in the north tower when the bomb went off. She and her friend walked down the stairwell 40 floors from the cafeteria. They were caught in the heat and smoke with hundreds of others trying to...

FDNY firefighter busted with assault weapon, ‘ghost gun’ parts in sting

In this part of the country guilt is always assumed when a firearm is involved. Now if the guy didn't have a permit or FFL that was certainly dumb. Actually the hi-cap mags probably will get you in more trouble than anything else.
